When Jesus prayed for his disciples in John 17, he prayed for those who would believe in him, “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you” (John 17:21). Prayer helps us become one with the Father and have the kind of relationship Jesus had with him.
The Bible has a lot to say about the importance of church in the life of a believer. It’s not just a place we go on Sundays, but a vital part of our spiritual growth and connection with God and other Christians.
In the early church, believers devoted themselves to learning God’s Word, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42).
